Position Function:
Business Analyst will serve as a key supporting role to the Wealth Management Group SVP. In addition, incumbent will perform as an internal champion to support the vision, culture, and team spirit of Wealth Management. The key role of this position is to provide analytical insights to the division by pulling data from the core information systems of the bank, structuring, organizing, and analyzing data to form action plans to improve performance or identify new opportunities. Other responsibilities include developing presentations for executive management, supporting key initiatives in a project manager role and working side by side with Group SVP, Department Managers, and other internal/external customers.
Performs all duties and interacts with internal and external customers in a manner aligned with the Company's Core Values of Voyaging Spirit and Positively Ohana; Customer Experience Competencies of Customer Interaction, Empowerment and Ownership; and Basic Skills of Listening, Oral Communication, Written Communication, Action Orientated, Thoroughness, Problem Solving.
Primary Accountabilities:
This position requires a proactive approach and an ability to independently carry out the responsibilities of the role. Exhibits high standards, excellent communication skills, good judgment, and an ability to take initiative, and increase operational efficiency. Possesses the ability to strategically analyze data and form insights that can be turned into actionable initiatives. Able to effectively manage time and multi-task with attention to detail is critical and must be confident about decision-making under uncertainty and under extreme time pressure.
The role involves six primary responsibilities, performed in collaboration with the Department Managers in Wealth Management (Private Banking, Investment Services and Trust):
- Data Analysis – Has strong proficiency with the data systems of the bank including but not limited to EDW, Thoughtspot, Salesforce, Axiom, West 03. Possesses the ability to organize and format data to be analyzed for insights and opportunities.
- Communication Skills to develop presentations for executive management on performance, key initiatives, etc.
- Marketing and Branding – Supports the marketing and branding initiatives for the division including but not limited to the website, collateral material, direct mail campaigns.
- Client Experience – Provides consistent level of service to clients both external and internal.
- Special Projects – Leads strategic projects using analytical and organizational skills.
- Human Resource liaison that supports new hire onboarding, compensation reviews, incentive plans, promotions, and terminations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year university, preferably in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data, Marketing, Project Management, individually or any combination, required (2 years of relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree requirement).
Experience:
- 5+ years of data and business analysis, reporting, marketing, client experience required.
- 2+ years of banking experience required.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
- Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
- Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
- Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
- Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
