Summary/Objective

A Bulk Customer Representative is responsible for selling and merchandising a range of company products including but not limited to soft drinks, energy drinks, water, juices, coffee, and Craft Beer at multiple large format accounts. This position creates and identifies opportunities within designated accounts to expand sales volume, market share, product distribution and space allocation and will act as the primary contact at the store level for sales and customer service. Analyzes current accounts to maximize distribution and works collaboratively with customers and management to develop display opportunities and grow company objectives. This position will stock shelves, rotate shelved product, set up displays, fill and rotate product in coolers, organize and maintain product in storage rooms, and move product from storage to the sales floor. Works closely and has exceptional communication with their manager, Delivery Drivers, and account personnel.

  • Execution of marketing programs and company strategies to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency within designated accounts.

  • Maintain and expand sales volume, market share, product distribution, space allocation and customer service in all designated accounts. Sell and execute promotions, solicit placement of equipment and use marketing materials to encourage sales.

  • Establish and maintain customer relationships through a high standard of professionalism, behavior, respectful and attentive communication. Be courteous and responsive to customer service opportunities with close attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to service all company-related accounts.

  • Perform accurate and detailed inventory counts, place orders for future delivery and sell product inventory to standard.

  • Retain current accounts through relationship building, prompt communication, overall product and account knowledge. Problem solves to meet the needs of all designated accounts and work closely with management if resources are required.

  • Manage and maintain current company brand flow within designated accounts. Ensure each account has the maximum number of products and packages to maximize total distribution.

  • Maintain current Point of Sale materials at all accounts and communicate with the Print Shop and management when materials need to be ordered or are missing.

  • Merchandise all company products following company standards with attention to rotation, brand flow, schematics, and shelf cleanliness at all sales locations throughout the store.

  • Ensure product remains in satisfactory condition according to company standards through careful storage, placement, transportation, and attention to detail.

  • Plan and execute product displays based upon company and account standards. Maintain inventory levels by consistently stocking displays with appropriate product and attention to rotation.

  • Follow company and account operating procedures when servicing accounts. This includes but is not limited to signing in & out, placement of pallets on the sales floor, use of equipment and designated service time frames.

  • Manage, rotate, and maintain an organized backroom. This includes but is not limited to condensing inventory, disposing of trash, organizing breakage, and stacking empty pallets and/or shells.

  • Communicate account updates, inventory levels and opportunity for shelf space with their manager.

  • Adhere to all requirements for vehicle cleanliness and safety, follow all traffic laws and company vehicle policies.

  • Observe company safety guidelines and practices in every phase of work. Report all hazardous conditions, safety concerns, injuries, incidents, or property damage to your manager.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

  • This is a safety-sensitive position. The employee has the responsibility to always be cognizant of their own safety and the safety of others, must have the ability to perform job functions in a safe manner, and operate company equipment and/or vehicles with good judgment and awareness of surroundings at all times.

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in the trade, with frequent warehouse exposure, and does require travel within the designated market. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as a hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift and six-wheel cart as well as drive a company vehicle.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. The schedule varies, Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday. 40 plus hours weekly, shift start time will vary based upon daily needs of the business and route. This is an exempt level position.


Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience with selling, merchandising, warehouse, or customer service.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Employee must meet company standards for driving a company vehicle, pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
