Building Maintenance

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Building Maintenance professional to join our team. As a Building Maintenance, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities. This is a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment for our employees and visitors.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

● High School Education

● Ability to communicate effectively

● Must possess a valid driver’s license

● Strong background or formal training in at least one of the following:

Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, or Mechanical repair

● Ability to complete assigned tasks without supervision

● Ability to read blueprints and schematics

● Ability to lift up to 85 lbs.

● Ability to climb and work off of ladders and lifts

● Availability to work overtime and/or emergency calls to complete repairs or

tasks when necessary.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

● Facilitate preventative maintenance programs for his/her assigned school

including but not limited to the following: filter cleaning/changing,

oiling/greasing of machinery, and inspection of belts, motors, and pulleys.

● Repair and upkeep of school district equipment, vehicles, and facilities.

● Facilitate scheduled maintenance and repair projects with the Director of

Facilities.

● Make recommendations to the Director of Facilities concerning repair needs

of buildings and equipment.

● Maintain maintenance department parts and equipment inventories.

● Keep detailed records of work performed.

● Assist the Director of Facilities with overseeing contracted work.

● Performs groundskeeping tasks including but not limited to snow and ice

removal, maintenance of trees and shrubs, fields, lawns, playgrounds, and

lining of athletic fields.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $17.76 - $20.10 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
