Building Technician I - Full-time Available

Position Summary
We are hiring a Building Maintenance Technician I to join our maintenance team. The technician will be responsible for inspecting different equipment and performing basic repairs or preventative maintenance as directed. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in maintenance, be skilled with various hand and power tools, have a keen attention to detail, and the ability to solve mechanical problems. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance and basic repairs.
• Safely use hand and power tools as well as ladders.
• Take apart machines, equipment, or devices to diagnose and repair.
• Keep property clean and safe, perform basic landscaping duties and remove snow and ice as needed.
• Painting ceilings/walls or cleaning HVAC registers using an 8' step ladder.
• Cleaning out gutters outside on buildings using a 28' extension ladder.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Strong organizational and follow up skills.
• Eye for detail and ability to troubleshoot.
• Professional presentation and attitude.
• Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
• Strong time management skills.
• Maintenance experience is a plus but not required.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Possess effective professional verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be organized and able to prioritize and multi-task.
• Possess basic knowledge of workplace safety and OSHA procedures.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
