Building & Grounds Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Building & Grounds Maintenance Technician. This position will report to the Director of Facilities & does not have supervisory responsibility.
Responsibilities

• Building/facilities maintenance and repair

• Operation of various powered hand tools and material handling equipment.
• Performs daily inspection of building (ceiling, floors, walls, windows, doors, etc.).
• Perform repair and maintenance of the building to include painting, carpentry, drywall, floors, ceilings, doors/locks, and other parts of building structure as needed.
• Performs office furniture/equipment moves as needed.

• Replacement of light bulbs.

 

• Grounds maintenance

• Ensures outside trash bins are emptied daily.
• Ensure building grounds are maintained (remove trash, leaves, branches, other debris).
• Maintain plants and landscape beds surrounding buildings.
• Provide guidance/feedback to vendors regarding landscape maintenance and irrigation issues.

 

• General
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.
  • Familiar with and follows all safety standards throughout the facility.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with use of computers for email, internet, and other software programs such as Microsoft Office and other related software programs.
• Experience using a CMMS or Work Order program a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
