Budget & Reporting Analyst

• Collaborate with project managers and across multiple functional departments to develop project budgets, create monthly forecasts and yearly budgets.
• Monitor project costs, track budget variances, and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain budget tools to forecast project expenses.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc financial reports to communicate project status and variances to stakeholders.
• Create financial dashboards and presentations to support Program and Project Managers with strategic decision making.
• Conduct financial analysis to assess the health of projects, identify trends and recommendations for corrective action.
• Develop and maintain standardized reporting templates for consistency across projects.
• Assist in the preparation of long-term financial plans and forecasts.
• Identify financial risks and potential issues in projects and propose mitigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project financial records.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance financial management practices within the PMO.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging tools for budgeting and reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Proven experience as a financial analyst, budget analyst, or related role.
• Candidates with a CAPM, or the ability to obtain certification within one year of hire preferred.
• 3-4 years of project cost accounting with basic knowledge of project planning and cost control processes
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and other reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Adaptable and resourceful in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies.

Salary Range: $83,000 - $114,000
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
