Budget Support Analyst

The Budget Support Analyst will support the Department of State Center for Analytics in a dynamic role that may evolve over time, as the organizational needs and the Budget Support Analyst’s skills mature and change. The primary responsibility of the Budget Analyst will be to support the Federal staff to manage the CfA budget and finances. The Business Analyst will track multiple funding streams, funding outflows, funding types, and be able to reconcile and project based on that funding information. The Budget Analyst will use existing Excel sheets to track travel, training, purchase card, and other costs to create weekly reports.

The Budget Support Analyst will take broad direction from the Federal staff and propose a decisive path forward and independently problem solve and follow through on the solution. The Budget Support Analyst will track project through their lifecycle, developing and reporting project metrics and developing and implementing process improvements.

This position is hybrid with some onsite work at a Government site and partial/flexible telework after client relationships and work cadence are established.

Required Qualifications include:

1. US Citizen with an active SECRET clearance

2. 1+ years of professional experience

3. Strong Organizational Skills

4. Strong Written and Oral Communications Skills

5. Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications include:

1. Experience with Microsoft Products, including Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Visio, Project, Access, Power BI, Power Apps

3. Experience supporting a Government budget office

3. Exposure to data science or related technical field

4. Experience with the Department of State

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
