This work is primarily remote & requires candidate to be eligible for a public trust background check as a precondition of employment. Badging/Equipment pickup will be required initially in Bethesda, MD.
We are supporting a brand-new federal agency as they build out their Finance & Budget teams within the comptroller’s office. This is an evolving team with opportunities for professional & personal growth.
Duties:
- Develop, reconcile and maintain budgetary and financial tables included in the Agency’s budget
- Prepare technical and financial documents necessary to assist in the instruction of execution of financial transactions
- Conduct financial analyses of agency’s financial obligation/disbursements, and provide retrospective information on accuracy of projections
- Verify approved funding, assist with reviewing Inter and Intro Agency Agreements/PRs for accuracy and adherence to applicable regulations
- Monitor financial systems to verify commitment, obligation, and disbursement status
- Assist with Agency’s operation plan process
- Prepare Ad-hoc financial documents, PowerPoint slides/presentations
Experience:
- Hard Skills: 10+ years of using Microsoft Excel, Analytic, Researcher, and Database Management
- Soft Skills: Teamwork, Dependable, Communication, Adaptability, and Openness
