Job Summary:
Perform tasks related to the BSA/AML program. Review and correct currency transaction reports. Work assigned alerts related to transaction monitoring for fraud or suspicious activity. Perform assigned account activity reviews. Assist in the testing of internal controls of the BSA/AML compliance system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work assigned Verafin alerts related to transaction monitoring.
- Review and correct currency transaction reports (CTRs) in Verafin.
- Complete the CTRs. Submit for second review to CTR reviewer.
- Electronically file approved CTRs.
- Review monetary instrument log in Vertex for completeness and accuracy of cash sales of negotiable instruments.
- Review alerts related to CDD/EDD including unidentified business types such as MSBs, IOOATMs, CIB, etc.
- Update wire transfer spreadsheet.
- Review cash shipment transactions and determine if any transactions are reportable.
- Work OFAC exceptions as assigned.
- Update ACH international entries spreadsheet.
- Review the following for new accounts and new loans:
- Physical address
- Signers/guarantors identification is loaded in Jack Henry
- For businesses, NAICS codes have been loaded and verify if the code is correct.
- Determine that the Identity Red Flag checklist was completed and load this information into the applicable spreadsheet.
- Work any investigations or cases as assigned
- Perform Customer Identification Program reviews (testing of controls).
- Perform beneficial ownership reviews
- Perform OFAC reviews (testing of controls).
- Perform Remote Deposit Capture review (testing of controls, compliance with BSA).
- Perform ACH review (testing of controls, compliance with BSA).
- Perform private banking review (testing of controls, compliance with BSA).
- Complete high risk customer reviews as assigned.
- Monitor private ATM customer accounts activity for reasonableness.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED is required. Two years general banking experience preferred. Two or more years BSA experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as reports, operating instructions, and procedures manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to communicate with employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as averages and percentages.
Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Word processing, Excel spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail.
Certifications:
Certified BSA/AML Professional (CBAP) Certification Preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 10 pounds.
