Retail Sales Associate and Brand Ambassador

Eden Valley Creamery (EVC) is looking to hire a Retail Sales Associate and Brand Ambassador. We are looking for a team-oriented, enthusiastic, and passionate individual to be the face of our company and promote our products. This position will consist of being on the front lines sampling our product to customers throughout WNY and surrounding areas at local grocery stores, farmer markets, and the hottest area festivals and trade shows. You will be a direct ambassador for EVC and talk about all the mission of EVC, and all the products that we offer. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, approachable, and converses with strangers easily. Ultimately, this person’s role is to increase our company’s brand awareness and generate new sales opportunities.
We are looking for candidates that are able to start as soon as possible for approximately 20-40 hours per week. Hours and times for this position will fluctuate based on events scheduled.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the brand in a positive and professional manner at various events and locations i.e. Product demos / sampling at supermarkets, festivals and farmers markets
- Assist with event planning and execution, including setup and teardown. Responsible for communicating stock quantities with the team weekly
- Provide samples and engage with customers to promote brand awareness; generate interest in our products and services
- Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Possess the ability to learn new info, speak informatively, up-sell and promote our brands.
- Submit event recaps and communicate customer feedback in a timely manner to improve marketing strategies
- Utilize social media platforms to promote brand initiatives and engage with followers
- Collaborate with team members to increase efforts and marketing campaigns.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive brand experience
Requirements:
- 1 year or more in customer service
- Must have weekend availability, most special events are Saturdays
- Must have a valid driver's license
Experience that sets you apart:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or related field preferred
- Familiarity with social media management and content creation is a plus
- Bilingual skills (if applicable) are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse
- Experience in data collection and analysis is beneficial for evaluating marketing efforts
- Knowledge of event marketing principles and practices is advantageous
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Public speaking skills to confidently present information about the brand

Compensation structure: base pay with commission
