We are looking for a bookkeeper that goes beyond just “checking the boxes” when maintaining our clients’ financial records. Our team of accounting service professionals look forward to the value that a proper accounting service can provide. Our team also must be able to adapt to an ever-changing partner base. Our team is proactive in issue identification and resolution and does what’s right by the customer and each other all the time. We pride ourselves in being the premier back-office support partner to contractors across the country and take a consultative approach in everything that we do.
Where:
This position will be mostly remote, but training and some meetings will require days in an office.
Your team:
You will be a member of the Accounting Services Team and will report to the Assistant Controller, who reports to the Controller of DMGgo.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field and/or 1-3 years of public accounting or industry accounting experience
Experience with Quickbooks Online, Xero, and other cloud-based accounting software required
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of US GAAP
Familiarity with common financial metrics
Ability to utilize information and compile it in meaningful ways
Critical thinking around changing scenarios and problem solving required
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing standards and customer requirements
Comfort preparing and delivering reports to decision makers and clients
Prior customer service or client facing experience required
Prior payroll experience preferred
Responsibilities:
Maintain client financial records on a weekly basis, meeting pre-defined deadlines
Provide excellent customer service to clients as the primary contact for assigned client accounts
Proactively follow-up on outstanding client and management requests
Proactively provide status updates to rest of team upon completion of tasks and items ready for review
Escalate all issues to relevant stakeholders (whether clients or management) timely
Work collaboratively with accounting team members, management, and clients
Utilize technical skills to perform high-level data analytics of client financial data (i.e. trend analysis)
Maintain documentation of best practice in regard to dedicated client accounts and general bookkeeping processes
Identify and assist in tracking of metrics for client uses
Prepare financial reports for client stakeholders
Develop creative ways for tracking meaningful client data and presenting that data in a concise and useful way
Provide solutions as accounting and reconciliation issues arise
Investigate and provide feedback on accounting irregularities
Despite the mostly remote environment, be ready to work and be on camera for face-to-face meetings with team member and clients on a daily basis

Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
