Bookkeeper

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing payroll, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks.

Responsibilities:

• Managing accounts payable using accounting software
• Reporting bills that are too high or too low in a timely manner
• Monitoring transactions
• Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Processing due invoices for payments
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts

Expectations:

• Reconcile and verify invoices within the finance department and CEO.
• Assist the finance department in preparing documentation up until tax season.
• Responsible for paying company bills and ensuring that financial statements include the correct information.
• Daily trips to the CPA
• Daily trips to the PO Box and reporting any billing discrepancies to the finance department and CEO
