Join The Borough's kitchen team at our new fast casual café as a Back-of-House (BOH) Team Member. You will play a key role in food preparation and kitchen operations, contributing to a vibrant dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute food preparation activities with precision and attention to detail, ensuring the consistent quality of all menu items

- Follow standardized recipes and production procedures to maintain the integrity of our culinary offerings

- Safely handle and store food ingredients while adhering to hygiene and sanitation guidelines to uphold food safety standards

- Prepare and cook food while operating kitchen equipment effectively

- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations

- Engage in opening, closing, and dish duties as required

- Embrace a culture of collective responsibility for maintaining a welcoming kitchen environment

- Embrace the dynamic nature of a new café, actively engaging in learning and adapting to evolving processes and procedures

- Demonstrate openness to growth and change, contributing positively to the development of our kitchen team and operations

- Engage in constructive feedback and continuous learning opportunities as we grow and refine our kitchen practices

Compensation:

Starting wage: $14.00 per hour plus tips

Tip Arrangement: Tips are distributed evenly among all Team Members based on hours worked and average tips per hour

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is desirable

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and multitask effectively

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Willingness to contribute to various kitchen duties and work collaboratively with the team

Working Environment:

The job involves standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and handling kitchen equipment and tools. Exposure to various food items and cleaning chemicals is part of the role. Being able to stoop, stand, and bend for the entirety of a shift is required.

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
