Prestige Ford, a leading automotive dealership in Mount Dora, Florida, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Body Shop Estimator to join our team. This is a full-time, individual contributor role with a competitive salary and opportunities for growth within our company. As a Body Shop Estimator, you will play a critical role in our auto Body Shop operations by accurately estimating the cost of repairs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $30,000 to $80,200 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles and prepare accurate and comprehensive estimates for repairs
- Communicate with insurance companies for damage evaluation and estimates approval
- Work closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Monitor repair progress and update customers on the status of their vehicle
- Handle customer inquiries and address any concerns or complaints
- Adhere to company and industry safety standards and regulations
- Utilize computer software for estimating and invoicing purposes
- Maintain proper documentation of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions
- Collaborate with the parts department to order necessary parts for repairs
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in auto body repair techniques
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or technical training in auto body repair preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Body Shop Estimator in the automotive industry
- Proficient in using computer software for estimating and invoicing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of industry safety standards and repair techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
