SUMMARY
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will join our team of professionals in providing quality behavioral health services to our Day and Residential Programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides training and consultation to direct care staff on the implementation of behavior programs, including behavior management techniques and principles of skills acquisition.
- Provides training to direct care staff in the collection and tabulation of data as it relates to behavior/skills acquisition plan implementation.
- Ensures that all trained staff implement behavior/skills acquisition plans correctly and consistently.
- Provides appropriate re-training and ongoing support in cases where programs are not being correctly implemented.
- Conducts appropriate assessments before the development of a behavior/skills acquisition plan.
- Attends Behavior Management Committee (BMC) and Human Rights Committee (HRC) meetings. Presents behavior plans and interventions as it pertains to assigned caseload.
- Accompanies and reports on behavioral health status of assigned individuals at psychiatric appointments. Monitors psychotropic medication changes, as appropriate, on a regular basis.
- Ensures that behavior/skills acquisition plans are reviewed and updated, as needed, in accordance with necessary timeframes.
- Attends annual planning meetings and support team meetings for assigned individuals.
- Maintains current documentation including copies of behavior/skills acquisition programs, BMC and HRC approval forms, assessment and data obtained from behavior/skills acquisition plans, identifying information, and case notes.
- Maintains documentation for all consultation and staff training provided.
- Periodically reviews the case records of individuals on assigned caseload to ensure that the most recent behavior/skills acquisition plan is relevant, necessary approvals are obtained, and documentation of staff training is present.
- Submits monthly graphs of behavior rates, bimonthly behavior reports, and bimonthly medication reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis / Related Field
- Certification and at least two years experience as a BCBA
- Must have reliable transportation
