BioGas Engineering Project Manager

Eleven Recruiting seeks an Engineering Project Manager specializing in biogas, landfill gas, or solid waste backgrounds. This position entails planning, designing, permitting, and overseeing the construction of biogas and landfill gas systems, as well as solid waste handling and disposal facilities, alongside other environmental projects. The incumbent will supervise engineers, scientists, technicians, and clerical staff to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical analysis of biogas for renewable and solid waste projects in California and the Western United States.
• Manage all project phases from investigation to construction/remediation, including the preparation of drawings, plans, specifications, reports, bid documents, and certifications.
• Design biogas collection, leachate, stormwater/surface water management, and liner systems.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Efficiently manage project schedules and budgets.
• Prepare proposals and engage with clients and regulators.
• Implement safety protocols.
• Analyze systems for operational objectives and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare permit documents for new site developments, permit modifications, and closures.
• Oversee construction projects to ensure compliance with engineering and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate on or publish papers within your area of expertise.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Geological, or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of Engineering Project experience.
• 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred.
• Supervisory experience desirable.
• Professional Engineer certification in California.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D or GIS.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific, technical, financial, and legal documents.
• Strong writing skills for environmental reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Experience in biogas, landfill gas systems, and solid waste industry beneficial.
• Demonstrated technical skills in design and/or construction.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and PDF editors (Bluebeam or Adobe).
