Billing Specialist
Our client, a Local Construction Company based in Trooper, PA, is currently seeking a Billing Specialist who has invoicing and collections experience within the construction industry.
Our client has seen consistent revenue growth over the past several years, weathering the economic downturn better than many other construction-oriented companies. This is a full-time permanent position that can be performed in-office at the Trooper, PA location or Hybrid (3 days in-office & 2 days at home.)
Responsibilities:
- Generate AIA compliant invoices
- Follow up on, and collect payments
- Conduct billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
- Perform account reconciliations
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Generate aging analysis
- Review AR aging to ensure compliance
- Maintain billing files and records
- Follow established procedures for processing receipts
- Prepare bank deposits
- Investigate and resolve customer queries
- Process adjustments
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally
- Collect data and prepare monthly metrics
Experience and Skills:
Requirements:
- 3 years billing experience, construction industry preferred
- Knowledge of AIA
- Knowledge of construction billing requirements
- Intermediate/advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Avalara
- Attentive to detail, accurate, organized, and possesses a sense of urgency
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to problem solve and work under pressure
