POSITION SUMMARY
As a Billing Specialist you will maintain and update client agreements and be responsible for performing monthly billing of client accounts for agreements, projects, hardware, etc. In order to be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, and a proven ability to work independently. We are looking for a motivated and reliable team player who can work efficiently and effectively, while maintaining accuracy, in a fast-paced environment. This is a Hybrid role in Melville, NY. The salary for this position is $60,000+ (negotiable based on experience).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for customer billing, which includes:
- Agreements
- Products (hardware and software, etc.)
- Projects
- Time and materials
- Other miscellaneous
- Maintain agreement terms in Connectwise; update agreements for monthly changes
- Review billing according to client-driven guidelines and expectations
- Handle client inquiries related to billing
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Client Strategy & Accounting, to resolve billing issues
- Review credit memo requests and process credit memos when applicable
- Maintain updated records of clients and updating charges to their accounts
- Assist with acquisition integrations, as needed
- Notify management of any financial risk identified
- Meet deadlines communicated by management
- Additional reporting to management as needed
DESIRED SKILLSET/EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of billing experience is required, preferably in the MSP industry
- Associates Degree preferred
- Microsoft Office application experience required
- Intermediate to Proficient Excel skills required
- NetSuite experience a plus
- ConnectWise Manage experience a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills required
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Attention to detail
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive client and company information.
- Ability to work independently
