Billing Clerk.

If you are great with math and Excel, our Billing Clerk role is for you. Invoicing, record updating, and income tracking are a few of the responsibilities in this role. This position is located in Columbus, Georgia, Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm. Read below for more details and apply if you are our candidate.

Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts and other inconsistencies
Collect all information needed to calculate receivables (order amounts, discount rates, etc.)
Check data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of final bill
Issue invoices and distribute to customers through various channels
Issue customer account statements periodically or as necessary
Receive payments through various methods / channels and check for credibility
Send reminders for payments and contact customers when assigned
Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information, etc
Answer questions and handle complaints from customers regarding invoices
Managing the status of accounts and balances and identifying inconsistencies. Issuing bills, receipts and invoices.
Report on activity to upper management
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Further education beyond high school a plus
Accounting / Business Certifications
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a billing clerk or general accounting experience
Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines
Proficient in MS Office (focus on Excel)
Excellent math ability
Good organizational skills
Excellent communicator, written and oral
High School diploma
