Scale Attendant/Billing Clerk

Waste Eliminator is a leading, full-service waste services company offering critical disposal, recycling and environmental solutions. We ensure waste is disposed of in a cost-effective and sustainable manner while minimizing the impact on the environment. Our scale attendants work in our MRF, (Material Recovery Facility).

Purpose: The Scale Attendant operates the scale, verifies materials coming into the MRF, bills 3rd party MRF customers, and tracks materials via the KPI report.

Responsibilities:

• Check scale each morning to ensure it is zeroed out and communicating with the computer.
• For each truck that comes across the scale, obtain the company name, truck number, weight, origin of the load and the type of material.
• As the tare weights are stored in the system, after truck is weighed, print the scale ticket and provide to the driver, and file the company copy.
• Communicate with other personnel at MRF as needed (e.g., determine specific materials in the load)
• At end of business, complete the balance and KPI report.
• Complete manifests when necessary.
• Each Monday, invoice the customers for the previous week.
• Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, ordering supplies, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma
• Excellent organizational, time management, documentation and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task and learn quickly.
• Able to work independently as well as collaborate with others.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience for internal and external customers.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain a schedule of routine activities, meeting deadlines and producing accurate work consistently.
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
• Clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
• Winning and collaborateive disposition.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
