Description

We are currently seeking a Bilingual Recruiter to work with our consumers while gaining experience across several of our programs and work with an experienced team that loves what they do. We encourage applications from all communities including black, indigenous, people of color, LGBTQIA+, women, neurodiverse, and people with disabilities. 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Bilingual Recruiter is responsible for working in tandem with the Employment Promotor(a) to cultivate relationships via outreach efforts in targeted Latino(a) communities as well as coordinating monthly job forums to educate potential job candidates on available employment positions at Options For All.  The Bilingual Recruiter will be trained in community organizing principles in order to more effectively engage community leaders/members with the end goal of establishing well attended job forums in the targeted community. In addition, once potential employment candidates have been identified via the monthly forums et al, the Bilingual HR Recruiter will assist the candidates with the onboarding process to include assistance with the: online application process, interview, initial training as well as assisting newly onboarded Latino(a) staff with gaining access to all materials they will need to ensure success in the job.  The overall goal of the Bilingual Recruiter is to improve overall access of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to all the services Options For All offers by onboarding Latino(a) bilingual, bicultural staff. 

This position is based out of the headquarters office located at 5050 Murphy Canyon Road, Suite 220, San Diego, CA 92123. We encourage applications from all communities including black, indigenous, people of color, LGBTQIA+, women, neurodiverse, and people with disabilities. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work with hiring managers to understand the requirements of each Direct Support Professional role 
  • Identify various sources of candidates, including relevant community members and organizations 
  • Publish job ads to job boards and social media groups  
  • Communicate regularly with hiring team to understand their recruiting needs 
  • Craft and send recruitment emails in Spanish  
  • Implement creative recruiting techniques to attract candidates 
  • Interact with potential candidates on professional networks and social media 
  • Create talent pipelines for current and future hires 
  • Manage outreach at relevant hiring events in Spanish
Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • High school diploma 
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) 
  • Written and Verbal Fluency in Spanish and English 
  • Professional HR Certificate and/or certification (preferred) 

Experience

  • 2 years of recruiting or HR experience 
  • Basic knowledge of HR laws and regulations at the federal and state levels 
  • Experience with Paycom or other HRIS 
  • Knowledge of and/or is part of the community served 
  • Experience working in the field of IDD (preferred) 

Other Requirements

  • Bilingual/Bicultural: Uses Spanish and provides cultural experiences to assist job candidates and Latino(a) staff with bilingual/bicultural needs 
  • Ability to read, write and speak Spanish 
  • Effective communication verbally and in writing, with proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary 
  • Proficient use of basic office equipment, Microsoft Suite, and required systems (Videoconferencing, database management system, etc.) 
  • Resilience, with the ability to respond quickly to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, and strategies.   
  • Successful completion of background check 
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance 
  • Acceptable driving record 

COMPENSATION

  • Compensation $23 per hour 
  • 100% company paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees 
  • 100% company paid dental and vision for qualified dependents 
  • 50% company paid medical coverage for qualified dependents 
  • 403(b) retirement program 
  • All benefits start on the employee’s first day of hire 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires the employee to regularly stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. Must be capable of writing, using a computer keyboard, telephone and related office equipment. Ability to lift 10lbs. required.
