Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Bilingual English and Spanish Paralegal to join our team. The Paralegal will assist the attorney by providing clerical and research support services including, but not limited to, document preparation and review; interviewing clients and witnesses; research, investigations, fact checking; discovery responses; deposition prep and notices; reservation of travel; expense reporting; preparation and filing of legal documents; and trial preparation.
Responsibilities:
Candidate will assist the Attorney with the following:
- Review, draft, edit, organize, file/index all trial documents and finalize pleadings (brief reports, complaints, jury instructions, motions, exhibit lists, summons, trial briefs/documents, verdict forms, witness lists, etc.).
- Arranging and summarizing depositions, preparing, sending notices to all parties, and coordinating/scheduling court reporters for depositions.
- Managing Master Trial Calendar, including tracking deadlines and providing reminders to Attorney.
- Coordinate and confirm service of process on all necessary documents throughout the case.
- Conduct trial preparation activities.
- Draft correspondence and notices for transmission to opposing counsel and clients.
- E-file, propound and communicate with clients to assist with discovery responses.
- File lawsuits and government claims.
- Prepare and finalize subpoenas.
- Review mail and maintain current proof of service.
- Special projects as needed.

Experience:
- Paralegal experience: 1+ years.
- Minimum 1 year of personal injury experience required.
- Paralegal certificate (not required but a plus).
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish/English required.
- In-depth experience in all aspects of litigation, including client discovery responses and motions.
- Understanding of legal language and principles, HIPAA regulations, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and related matters.
- Knowledge of how to analyze medical records and police reports.
- The ability to analyze a case and think outside of the box.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

- Exceptional time management skills, demonstrating the ability to meet deadlines.
- Function effectively in a high-paced and occasionally stressful environment.
- Maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion and good judgment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30-$40 per hour, non-exempt
Benefits:

- Monday to Friday
- 8 am - 4 pm or 9 am - 5 pm
- 40 hours per week
