Training Associate – Roofing – Bilingual

This position is a remote role. Candidates located anywhere in the US within close proximity to a major airport will be considered. Preferred locations: DFW/Waco, TX area and Central Florida.

Polyglass USA, Inc., a premier roofing materials manufacturer, has an opening for a_ BilingualTraining Associate_ to join our dynamic Training team! The Polyschool Training Associate is responsible for functional support related to all Polyschool training activities, providing technical information, evaluations, or demonstrations for company sales teams or agent sales teams. This position reports to the Polyschool Training Manager and provides an interface with all functional groups within the organization. It also involves liaising, supporting and coordinating sales activities for the relevant sales teams of Polyglass USA, Inc. We are looking for an individual with outstanding presentation skills.

What you get to do:

• Assist with all aspects of Polyschool training events including presenting Power Point presentations in a classroom setting, performing live demos and training attendees.
• Deliver robust training sessions – alone and as part of a team to groups up to 30 people – in both English or Spanish depending on audience
• Develop strong training presentations (PowerPoint) in both English and Spanish to effectively educate key audience targets such as Contractors, Architects, Distributors, Engineers and other current or future Polyglass customers
• Establish and organize the products and quantities for items required to perform Polyschool events and ensure all needed material, supplies, tools, and any other products necessary are ordered and delivered to the appropriate location within the required timeframe
• Demonstrate technical use of product installations including self-adhered, torch and coatings technologies
• Partner with, supervise and instruct additional technical staff to support Polyschool events.
• Prepare all demonstration decks/mock-ups.
• Execute hands-on demonstrations for Polyschool audience with the assistance of other technical staff member(s).
• Ensure all used materials are disposed of appropriately and all supplies, materials and equipment are packed and returned to appropriate location.
• Assist cross functional teams with their Polyschool needs
• Travel as needed throughout North America including US, Canada, Puerto Rico
• Represent Polyglass at appropriate industry functions and events, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
• Understand all local code regulations and industry practices governing roofing activities.
• Understand customer base in territory as far as key individuals, contractor capabilities, and competitor systems used.
• Plan ahead and effectively communicate activities to all functional groups and Manager.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules, and instructions.
• Perform other duties as required by the Manager and for the success of Polyglass.

What you bring to our dynamic training team:

• 2-3 years’ experience in commercial roofing products required including training, sales, technical services, installations, contracting, etc. is a strict requirement
• Strong understanding in commercial roofing technology including modified bitumen, BUR, membranes, SBS, APP applied via self-adhered, torch and other methods
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong interpersonal/writing/communication skills required.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint to be used for Presentations
• Ability to create and facilitate online learning sessions (webinars) is desired
• Previous experience as a Roofing Manufacturers’ Representative, Roofing Inspector, Roofing Contractor or a roofing installer/foreman.
• RRO or similar roofing certification preferred
• Ability to travel up to 60%
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are required for this role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
