Bilingual Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant

The ideal candidate will have previous medical assistant or receptionist experience in the healthcare field. We cross-train our receptionists and medical assistants. This offers a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the practice and facilitates coverage when needed, which translates into efficient, un-interrupted operations. Medical Receptionist Duties: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish * Registering patients in our EHR * Verifying patient's benefits * Initiating referrals * Checking patients in and out * Handling call center: outstanding customer service skills over the phone. * Handling all faxes * Communicating with other doctor offices, laboratories, insurance companies, etc. * Other administrative duties as assigned Medical Assistant Duties: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish * Obtaining vital signs, triaging and rooming patients * Obtaining and charting basic information in the medical record * Running point-of-care(POC) testing * Medication administration * Great time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
