General Summary:
Reporting directly to the Regional Director-FCC the Administrative Tech Assistant provides confidential administrative assistance relating to technology support, family documentation, and educator documentation. Answers phones, files, responds to inquiries, refers to appropriate staff, takes messages, and relays information as needed; organize and maintain children and educator files, prepare and distribute related materials.
Essential Functions:
- Assist Family Childcare Educators with technical support around Nurtury and the state’s online computer system(s).
- Collect and maintain Family Child Care Educator’s files with all required up to date documentation.
- Collect and maintain children’s files with all required up to date documentation.
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, take messages, and relay information as needed.
- Collect documentation necessary to process family’s initial authorizations as well as reauthorizations.
- Assist families with being added to the state’s waitlist system (Kinderwait).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential functions:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Computer efficiency:
- MS Office, internet/e-mail
- virtual meeting systems
- State’s waitlist system(s)
- Familiar with, and knowledgeable in the use of social media and web-based platforms.
- Some college level education and/or 1 to 3 years of related experience, preferably in a non-profit setting
