Our opening for a Benefits Implementation Specialistis available now, but it won’t last long! This full-time, non-exempt position will be a part of the Amazing Implementation Team to deliver exceptional health and benefits support to our new clients and ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations. TheBenefits Implementation Specialistwill report directly to the Implementation Manager.
This position must be performed in the western region of the United States.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtains an approved Client Benefit plan set-up from the Agency. Sets the plans up in PrismHR, including all contributions and ancillary plans. Sets these up in Benefits Enrollment in PrismHR. Communicate timelines needed to the Implementation team
- Administer health and welfare benefit plans for new clients while in Implementation
- Client-sponsored plans setup
- Enters enrollments on the carrier website in a timely manner
- Reconciles enrollments to carrier statements monthly
- Process status change report daily - insurance enrollments, terminations, and qualified life events
- Participates in new enrollment activities such as meetings, webinars, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in benefit operations administration
- Familiarity and understanding of Insurance, employee benefit plans, and PEOs
- Knowledge of benefits policies, practices, and administrative procedures
- Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employee benefits and insurance, such as the ACA, Section 125, COBRA, HIPAA, PPA, and ERISA
- Proficient with MS Office and Intermedial Microsoft EXCEL skills
- Experience in or with insurance agencies or brokers is a plus
- Professional Employer Organization (PEO) experience is a plus
- Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employee leave of absence programs, such as state disability insurance and FMLA, is a plus
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The salary range targeted for this position is listed below. However, you should know that the pay rate may vary based on regional location, the candidate’s skill, and relevant experience. In addition, some positions may include a form of bonus or other incentive compensation, which would not be included in this salary range.
Hourly Rate Range: $25.55 - $38.33
