Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Manager to join our leadership and management team. The BHT Manager will be responsible for the training, supervision, scheduling, and management of the Behavioral Health Technicians working across our various locations, including inpatient, outpatient, and transitional housing settings. This role is integral in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients and facilitating their progress towards recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Train, supervise, schedule, and manage a team of Behavioral Health Technicians.
- Provide direct support to other departments and staff as needed.
- Oversee and ensure the completion of rounds, room searches, body searches, and UA tests.
- Supervise and support clients during outings and activities.
- Monitor and supervise phone calls and client activities.
- Assist with the intake process and collection and logging of valuables.
- Coordinate transportation for clients as required.
- Provide ongoing training and support to BHTs on boundaries, communication, teamwork, and time management.
- Develop de-escalation, conflict resolution, and team-building skills within the team.
- Collaborate with the clinical director and supervisor to manage the BHT team effectively.
- Work closely with program directors to coordinate client activities.
- Maintain clear communication and teamwork between BHTs and nursing/medical staff.
- Manage the ordering, pick-up, and distribution of client cigarettes weekly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a Behavioral Health setting.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and support a team effectively.
- Knowledge of Behavioral Health and addiction recovery processes.
- Excellent communication, de-escalation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts as required.
- Willingness to work on a Part-Time, Full-Time, or PRN basis.
