Behavioral Health Tech (Bht)

Ocean Hills Recovery is Urgently Hiring Behavioral Health Technicians. OHR is Dual Diagnosis Drug and Alcohol detox/residential program in beautiful Dana Point CA. OHR provides a safe and comfortable environment for those seeking recovery from drug and alcohol addiction while maintaining a recovery-focused culture.

Primary Duties:

• Provide safe, nurturing, and transparent environment in which clients can trust us to help them recover
• Supervise clients self-administer medications
• Observe and report concerning client behaviors
• De-escalation and quick problem solving
• Light housekeeping
• Transportation of clients

Requirements:

• An ability to manage tasks throughout the day with minimal supervision
• A clean driving record (if transporting clients)
• The integrity to ask for guidance and additional assistance when needed
• Strives for excellence, consistency, and commitment
• Ability to stay calm in the midst of external chaos without minimizing the client's challenges while maintaining an environment in which the client feels valued and heard.
• Availability to work Saturday and Sunday

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working in drug/alcohol treatment
• Knowledge of safe procedures to monitor client administration of medication
• Familiarity with 12-step programs and other self-help modalities
• Experience with the EMR system, KIPU
