First National Bank of America has an opening for an organized and efficient BSA Fraud Analyst. This position performs various reviews and monitoring pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering Program, OFAC, and Customer Identification Program to ensure the bank’s compliance efforts are maintained on a daily basis. The ideal BSA Fraud Analyst candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in tasks through critical thinking and sound judgement in a professional work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Location: On-site in our East Lansing, MI office
- Perform daily review, monitoring, and analysis of various reports, logs, and transaction data to identify trends, unusual activity, and to monitor large currency activity
- Determines if transactions are suspicious in nature such as significant changes in balances, cash structuring in deposits, wire or ACH transfers, monetary instrument sales, new account openings, etc., and escalates them within the BSA Department
- Execute daily OFAC reports review and ensures proper OFAC monitoring processes and procedures
- Manage KYC referrals related to online account applications
- Complete bi-weekly 314(a) review
- Perform various monthly reviews related to cash loan payments, wire activity, monetary instrument log, etc.
- One year of general banking or regulatory agency experience with an emphasis in compliance or operations, or equivalent level of education and experience
- Proven accuracy in reviewing details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and a strong commitment to tasks completed on time
- Well organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize time sensitive deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
- Working knowledge of Jack Henry Core Banking Software and Verafin Fraud Monitoring Software is preferred but not required
