JOB SUMMARY:
This position is part of the administrative services team within Mesa County Behavioral Health Provides responsible administrative and technical support to Behavioral Health and participating County departments. Coordinates and performs data collection, analysis and presentation in support of the missions. Using best practices in research and statistical analysis, gathers data and designs reports to be used in policy and operational decisions. Assists in researching best practices to recommend what data should be collected to determine critical outcome measures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Performs the necessary maintenance, modification and upkeep on all relevant data sets, databases, and dashboards.
Perform statistical manipulations/calculation of data to show various factors affecting the datasets.
Create reports, spreadsheets, templates and procedures as required for analysis, presentation, or tracking needs.
Work with Compliance Coordinator in researching, collecting and producing data needed to prepare for audits and/or respond to audit results
Participate in audits as needed.
Work with all criminal justice and law enforcement agencies to assist in collecting accurate and meaningful data related to desired outcome measures.
Design reports with data collected that will show trends and give projections regarding the use of criminal justice resources or activities.
Collect criminal justice systems data and format it into meaningful reports for presentation on a regular basis.
Create and give presentations.
Attend staff meetings as needed to provide staff training, determine staff needs and pass on pertinent information.
Assist in researching best practices for Behavioral Health outcome measures to determine data sets to collect.
Provide analytical support to operational divisions within department for strategic and tactical decisions based on needs and/or requests.
Enters data into and retrieves information from multiple computer systems in order to update records, prepare and process transactions, or in response to requests for information.
Participate in monitoring unit expenditures and programmatic requirements, to ensure compliance with the budget, grant and department objectives. Prepare a variety of written reports, memos, and correspondence.
Serves as lead worker on designated projects; works on other County projects and/or committees as assigned.
Oral and written communications must be clear and effective.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in social research, computer science, business or a related field and two (2) years of progressively responsible related work experience. Knowledge of data analysis and statistical research software. Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires standing, stooping, sitting, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 35 pounds. Work is generally confined to a standard office environment.
