Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Duties: - Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA - Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities - Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed - Collect data on individual progress and behavior using established methods - Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments - Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to develop and modify behavior plans as needed - Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation and records - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Requirements: - Previous experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities, is preferred - Knowledge of behavior analysis principles and techniques is desirable - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to follow instructions accurately and implement behavior plans consistently - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Please note that this position may require inhalation of medication for individuals who require respiratory support.
