Overview 

You will work with a dedicated group of professionals, and you will be responsible for the delivery of ADR case management services. In addition, you will assist in developing and promoting AAA's ADR services. 

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000, plus an annual incentive bonus targeting 10% of base salary. The salary is within this defined range and will be based on the work location: Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; or Johnston, RI.

ResponsibilitiesQualifications
  • Serves as primary case management contact with parties, party representatives, arbitrators, and mediators; makes decisions on case issues within the scope of AAA rules and procedures; consults with management as needed.
  • Manages arbitration and mediation cases; ensures information is entered and maintained in an online case management system (PRISM); utilizes discretion and independent judgment by applying working knowledge and understanding of the AAA's rules and procedures.
  • Ensures confidentiality of case information and records; adheres to the AAA's information security and data privacy policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Advises panelists on procedural hearing management and related issues.
  • Analyzes user needs, trends, and the quality of service delivered by pulling, generating, and reviewing statistical reports; promptly responds to inquiries regarding AAA's ADR services.
  • Participates in hearings/conferences and provides feedback and recommendations to management to improve service quality and delivery.
  • Assist in recruiting ADR professionals to serve on the AAA's panel per AAA's Qualification Criteria for Admittance to the Roster of Arbitrators and Mediators; participate in reviewing panel members based on existing caseloads and needs.
  • Reviews and tracks trends regarding the regional markets where the AAA provides services.
  • Interacts with the assigned region's legal, business, and ADR communities; advocates for using AAA's ADR services.
  • Assists with arbitrator training programs, education programs, conferences, elections, and other events and service offerings.
  • Demonstrates regular, reliable, and predictable job attendance.
  • Attends on-site and in-person meetings and training sessions.

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, legal, or related field; JD or LLM a strong plus; 3-5 years of related industry and/or judicial system experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal files, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers, arbitrators, mediators, or employees of the organization.

Communications Abilities: (Verbal) Expresses oneself clearly in conversations and interactions with others; tailors speech to the level and experience of the audience; uses appropriate grammar and choice of words; expresses ideas in a concise, organized manner; maintains eye contact when speaking with others; (Written) Expresses oneself clearly and concisely in writing; tailors written communications to reach an audience effectively; uses graphics and other aids to clarify complex or technical information; spells correctly; writes using concrete, specific language; uses punctuation correctly; writes grammatically.

Technology Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Travel: Ability to travel periodically (10%) to clients, training events, and other AAA offices and conferences.
