Battery Service Advisor ($21/Hour)

Job Description

As a Battery Service Advisor, essential job functions will include the following:

• Sell/assist with inspection, testing, and sale of batteries and tires, where needed, to customers in a location(s) on and/or off the main service drive with the goal of exceeding assigned sales and productivity goals.
• Inspect customers’ cars in various locations at the dealership.
• Be proficient with and maintain functionality and appearance of, and/or troubleshoot, battery testing equipment.
• Diagnose battery and tire related problems, recommending service and quoting prices.
• Maintain effective customer relationships including relationships with customers and dealer personnel.
• Complete competitive market analysis monthly for batteries.
• Assist in store operations (example: working with PM to maintain and refine battery inventory).
• Assist dealership porters to ensure service levels are maintained.
• Clean and maintain Battery Service Advisor’s work area.
• Additional duties assigned based upon dealership location.

Other Duties as Assigned

Position Requirements

• Two years of automotive service experience, preferably in or from a retail tire and service environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with strong customer service orientation.
• Proficient computer skills to include experience with MS Office and online order management applications.
• May be required to operate a motor vehicle.
• Meet the requirements of Dealer Tire’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy and Company Vehicle Fleet Policy.

Physical Job Requirements

• Standing for long periods of time.
• Frequent bending, crouching, and twisting.
• Lifting at least 75 pounds.
• Comply with the Dealer Tire Store dress code policy.
• You will be required to work a fluctuating work week schedule, and must have flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.

Drug Policy

• Dealer Tire is a drug-free environment.  All applicants being considered for employment must pass a pre-employment drug screening before beginning work.
