Basketball Site Supervisors
This position supports the Youth Basketball program which runs on Saturdays, 7:30am-1:00pm, from January 13th - February 24th.
The Site Supervisor ensures that all league rules are followed, opens and closes gym/facility, secures all facilities, resolves conflicts between coaches, officials, players and spectators, and officiates as needed. They will also operate a motor vehicle.
Starting pay: $16.85/hour
Salary Range: $16.85 - $22.79/hour depending on qualifications and relevant prior experience.
Training - High school graduate or GED equivalent. Current, valid AED, First Aid and CPR Certifications preferred. Some college-level education in recreation, physical education, or education preferred.
Experience - None. Previous experience in an organized recreation program and experience working with the public in providing customer service preferred.

Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the Necessary Applicant Traits.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: - Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a safe driving record for continued employment. AED, First Aid and CPR certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment and must be maintained for continued employment. New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: oral board, reference checks, background checks including local police check and sex offender registry and driving record check through DMV.
The noise level in the environment is moderate.
Work is scheduled for a variety of hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Working in the Recreation Services Division may require indoor and outdoor activities. The incumbent is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and may be exposed to a variety of potential safety hazards.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; run, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or swim.
Physical demands are described as heavy (exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects).
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus, and peripheral vision.
