Oliver's Pizza & Pub North is the flagship of a multi-unit restaurant corporation with three operating locations in the state of Illinois. We are locally owned and operated, and we are known for our high quality, consistency, and personalized service, as well as our unique atmosphere and attention to detail.
We are looking to hire a server who is willing to train to become a bartender as well, or a Bartender/Server who is comfortable in both positions.
Our newest team member must be personable, professional, able to multitask, and be willing and able to pour drinks using a measuring jigger rather than a pour count (this is non-negotiable).
Bartenders are responsible for:
1. Opening the bar and ensuring all areas of the bar are neat and clean before unlocking the guest entrances.
2. Preparing all alcoholic beverages for service staff and bar guests.
3. Taking phone and online orders.
4. Retrieving phone and online orders from the kitchen, checking the orders, and bringing them to guests/delivery drivers.
5. Greeting all guests who come to the bar.
6. Money handling & counting/distributing tips to service staff.
7. Checking side work of service staff/completing any closing side work not completed by service staff.
Shifts begin at 4:00pm and end around 9:00pm on weeknights and around 10:30pm on weekends. We close at 8:30pm on weeknights and 10:00pm on weekends, but we do stay open later as business may dictate from time to time.
Days of shifts vary from week to week, but this position will provide at least 2 bartending shifts per week with rotating weekend bar or serving shifts.
Staff benefits on workdays include 50% off craft beer, 50% off liquor, and 50% off food (eating/drinking is not permitted while on the clock, but discounts apply on workdays when you are off the clock).
