SalaryWe are seeking an energetic, part-time bartender to join our team at the Boonetown Bistro & Bar at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Wilsonville.
Position Summary:
Responsible for providing beverage and food service to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains proper and adequate set-up of bar daily. This includes maintaining spirits, beer, wine, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, produce stocked to appropriate levels based on daily projections.
- Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and takes orders for drinks and food. Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
- Inputs orders into a point of sale system, maintains proper control of liquor and food transactions, completes check out for all orders and payment received at end of shift, and ensures moneys balance.
- Performs general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned.
- Maintains bar inventory.
- Must adhere to all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.
- Performs closing duties on a nightly basis, in a timely fashion.
- Knows all food and beverage sales prices.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Food Handler’s Card and Liquor Permit
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Ability to stand and/or walk for entire shift
- Ability to carry and balance trays
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to read and follow both verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Knowledge of mixology
