The Banner Programmer Analyst is responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of applications for Banner primarily focusing on the Student Information System (SIS) suite. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to understand business requirements, implementing custom solutions, and ensuring the optimal functionality of our SIS.
The Application Programmer Analyst will also oversee the installation, configuration, and version control upgrades of the student applications suite to ensure a seamless and up to date SIS within our educational institution. This includes working with the other Information Technology Services staff members with ongoing support for integrations with the SIS.
Responsibilties Include:
- Provide support for SIS and integrated systems
- Install, configure, test, and maintain Banner Student application programs suite
- Convert designs and specifications into computer code and compile into programs. Customize and code screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems
- Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections. Develop and maintain plans outlining steps and timetables for developing programs
- Monitor performance of programs after implementation
- Create test transactions and run tests to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications
- Research and evaluate software and hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms
- Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs
- Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs
- Train end users or technical support staff to use programs
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent knowledge obtained through a combination of education, training and experience)
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience required in area of expertise

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Official Transcripts
Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment.
