Pay: $19 to $20 DOE
Shift: 2nd Shifts

Job Overview: The Bakery Team Lead is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of the bakery department. This role involves managing a team of bakers and ensuring the production of high-quality baked goods, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and providing exceptional customer service. The Bakery Team Lead must possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of baking techniques, and the ability to coordinate and motivate a team.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and lead a team of bakers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
- Schedule and coordinate staff shifts to meet production demands.
- Production Management:
- Oversee the production of various baked goods, including pastries, cakes, and desserts.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients to ensure continuous production.
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and adhere to recipes and specifications.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct regular quality checks on baked goods to maintain high standards.
- Address and resolve any issues related to product quality, consistency, or presentation.
- Implement improvements to enhance overall product quality.
- Hygiene and Safety:
- Enforce and maintain strict hygiene and safety standards in the bakery.
- Train staff on proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development within the team.
- Conduct training sessions on new recipes, techniques, and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a bakery or food production environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of baking techniques and recipes.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education or certification in baking and pastry arts is a plus.
