Bag Machine Technician

Our client, a trailblazer in the printing and conversion of bags and flexible packaging, has engaged The Marathon Group Recruiting, LLC to identify, assess, and recruit a Flexible Packaging Bag Machine Operator for our client's production facility in Belleville, IL (near St. Lous, MO). This dynamic, fast-paced environment offers you the chance to work with state-of-the-art machinery and a platform to contribute significantly to the production of everyday consumer products.

About the Role

As a Bag Machine Technician, you will operate Bag Machines to manufacture gusseted bags primarily for the food and pet product markets. This is a full-time, 2nd shift role that provides an excellent opportunity for individuals seasoned in flexible packaging and familiar with Bag Machines.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

• Operate and manage Bag Machines to meet production targets.
• Proficiency in flexible packaging and operating Bag Machines.
• Strong mechanical skills and excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to function effectively within a team.
• Good communication skills.

3-5 years of experience operating one of the following Bag Machines for food or pet food products (Totani, Karvillle, Concetti, Unified View) as a flexible packaging Bag Machine operator.

• Ability to pass a drug and background check.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong work ethic.
• Excellent team player with strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a flexible packaging Bag Machine operator.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Work authorization: Must be US citizen or US perm resident/green card holder or a refugee with DoHS work authorization, or for Canadian citizens who are eligible to apply for a TN visa, or Mexican citizens who are eligible to apply for TN-2 visas. There are no H1B visas available at this time and we cannot accept F1 or M1 visas for this role.

Compensation

Pay starts at $28 to $35 per hour, depending on experience, with overtime available as desired.
