Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backup Generator Repair Estimator to join our team remotely. Please do not apply if you do not have at least five years of experience curating parts for generator repair (or very similar parts research), estimating, analysis of what engine parts are needed for generator repairs 14kW - 500kW. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in researching, pricing, procuring, and putting together repair estimates for a variety of Backup Generators. Typically this person will have worked with a generator manufacturer supplying parts advice for repairs to vendors.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must have the ability to quickly learn our software estimating program and efficiently.
• Proficiency in computer applications and software related to estimating and project management.

This individual will play a critical role in taking a technician's write up for repair and working out the details and pricing assessing the condition of a generator, identifying repair needs, and providing accurate and timely estimates to clients.

Responsibilities:

• Research and source necessary parts and materials for generator repairs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Utilize industry knowledge and experience to accurately estimate repair costs, including labor, materials, and additional expenses.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to procure necessary parts and services for repairs.
• Prepare detailed repair estimates for clients, including breakdowns of costs and timelines for completion.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain repair recommendations and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
• Maintain accurate records of repair estimates, parts procurement, and project timelines.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 Years of experience in estimating repairs for Backup Generators. Knowledge of Kohler, Generac, Blue Star Power, Taylor, Cummins, CAT, Doosan, Coleman, Magnum a plus.
• Strong technical knowledge of Backup Generator systems, including diesel and natural gas generators.
• Proficiency in researching and sourcing parts and materials for generator repairs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately assess repair needs and costs.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to clients.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in computer applications and software related to estimating and project management.

Pay: $62,400.00 - $83,200.00 per year
