Job Title:Certified Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: Washington,DC 1 day remote/ 4 days onsite

Clearance Required: Secret or Top-Secret Clearance

Description:

As an Azure Cloud Engineer at our NTIA customer in Washington, DC, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the Azure cloud infrastructure to support the agency's telecommunications and information initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Azure core platform: Compute, Storage, and Networking.

• Create and update cloud environment configurations to establish and support application workloads, including configuration of Subscriptions, Resource Groups, VNets, Subnets, load balancers, App Services, Azure Batch, Virtual Machines, resource tagging, billing, policy implementation, and security controls

• Data Platform (SQL/ Azure SQL DB)

• Big Data/cognitive tools like Hadoop, Cosmos DB, Azure Stream Analytics, etc.

• Hands-on experience with IaaS & PaaS solutions (Redis Cache, Service Bus, Event Hub, Cloud service, etc.)

• Knowledge and expertise in developing IaC (Infrastructure as code) utilizing cloud-native tools to create automated and scalable deployments (ex: Azure CLI, Puppet, Ansible).

Required Skills /Education/ Certifications & Qualifications:

• Functional understanding and experience with common scripting languages like Perl, Python, Powershell, etc.

• Multi-year experience in Microsoft Azure cloud environment involving design, provisioning and deployment, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.

• Hands-on experience in migrating existing infrastructure or select network functions to cloud-based solutions.

• Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies across Windows and Linux

• Must be proficient in IT networking skills, understanding of routing, switching, VLAN Config, IP management, virtual networks, subnets, firewalls, and tools like Infoblox/ system administration and data protection and information security principles.

• Knowledge of cloud security (SOC, PCI, NIST) principles.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to work individually and in larger team settings able to collaborate with local and remote team members effectively.

• Certification in Microsoft and/or competing cloud technologies is preferred

Desired Skills:

• Prior experience working in the wireless telecommunication field (either with Tier 1 Mobile Network operators or Tier 1 vendors) is highly desirable with an understanding of 4G LTE and 5G NR network elements.
