You are a self-starter ML and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in machine learning, big data analytics, AWS cloud services, and Kubernetes orchestration. Your proficiency extends to building and executing sophisticated data processing systems and analytical solutions. With a forward-thinking approach, you excel in harnessing the full potential of cutting-edge cloud services and ML to propel business intelligence and foster technological innovation.
Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of ML and Cloud technology that powers our Narrative Analytics® offering. This includes web application development, performing AWS maintenance, writing Python scripts, and coding new tools, and machine learning algorithms to refine data analysis processes. Specific responsibilities include:
- Work in sprints to create, design, and develop modules in coordination with the rest of the Engineering Team.
- Own core deliverables, including technical design, logical and physical design of the solution, coding, testing, and debugging.
- Work closely with data scientists and analysts to transform data science prototypes into scalable and efficient production-quality solutions.
- Design and implement data architectures on AWS, using best practices for security, scalability, and efficiency.
- Maintain system reliability and uptime of production applications by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
- Take initiative in solving complex technical problems and recommend original solutions and design approaches to meet requirements, making decisions between competing solutions.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying and managing applications in the cloud.
Requirements
- Must be able to work on US Government contracts that may prohibit or restrict the use of foreign nationals.
- Must be eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working on a production product with a collaborative team.
- Experience with Postgres (or similar) SQL database programming.
- Experience working with Agile scrum or Kanban methodology to deliver high-quality, high value software
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services; AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer is preferred.
- Expertise in AI and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Proficiency in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Solid experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of front-end development languages such as Reactis
Position Pay Band
$80,000 - $160,000 based on education and level of relevant experience.
