The Business Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business/compliance users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Responsibilities:
- Define business, financial, policy, and operational requirements and systems goals through partnership with decision makers, systems owners and end users
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions
- Analyze business processes, gaps in capabilities, existing system requirements, as well as appropriate data sources, interfaces and process changes required to address capability gaps
- Generate and compile reports based on findings, including probable causes and potential solutions to systems issues
- Filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources and perform other duties and functions as assigned
- Work with stakeholders and seniors to elicit full, complete requirements for any upcoming releases, system bugs, or required change request / system enhancements
- Develop creative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high volume applications in partnership with business partners and stakeholders
- Contribute to formulation of strategies/processes for Product Road map, Development and Governance and contribute to defining standards and new automation initiatives
- Develop communication to guide, influence and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and external customers
- Provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business and filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Explicitly document detailed requirements within Business Requirement Documents and Functional Requirement specifications
- Review and obtain a deep understanding of change requests across different platforms
- Lead any documented requirement end-to-end from requirements elicitation to production support and as needed, being able effectively communicate requirements in a clear and simple manner to our Technology, Business, Policy, and Operation Partners
- Support the User Acceptance Testing as part of the end-to-end process of seeing requirements through to completion
- Coordinate with regional and global AML partner compliance teams
- Train and provide assistance to compliance users of the system
- Review and prepare UAT test cases for testers
- Lead in tracking enhancements / change requests
- Lead ongoing training and communications related to OneKYC goals and organizational alignment; and ensure messages are consistent and aligned closely with the Program's objectives.
- Lead or contribute to wide variety of KYC related projects by providing subject matter expertise and working with the Project Strategy Office to help meet project deliverable
- Track and manage project activities, action items, meeting notes, and decisions
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques
- Proven interpersonal, diplomatic and influencing skills
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelors (4 Year University) Degree or equivalent experience required
