The Avionics Platform Software Department seeks a software engineering Co-op to be part of our team. The team works across all of the Platform Software department to support them in technical and certification advancement in development on our computing products. The Co-op role will support programs in code development, code build and integration, test code development, and test code run and debugging. Co-ops will be paired with experienced engineers for daily execution guidance and mentoring. The software this team has a deep knowledge of all functional areas with a mixture of low level system software written in C and C++ that runs on our embedded systems and higher level application software in C++, C#, and Python that runs on PCs.

Primary Responsibilities:
Contribute to product requirement documents
Support and implement automated software build and test development activities
Debug current software and integration issues
Assist in implementing embedded and PC software according to requirements
Assist in peer reviews of engineering artifacts from all software lifecycle phases
Assist in preparing documentation for DO-178C and DO-330 software certification audits
Learn and apply Collins and team policies and procedures
Able to identify the root cause of moderate to complex software issues using appropriate debug and analysis tools
Able to work with engineering peers on a daily basis to achieve our goals with oversight from manager
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
