Automotive Title Clerk

McCloskey Motors Inc. is currently seeking an Automotive Title Clerk who can process vehicle titles with accuracy and in a timely manner. As an Automotive Title Clerk at McCloskey Motors Inc., you'll be responsible for managing and maintaining all title documents and files, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and working with customers, lenders, and DMV to resolve any title issues or discrepancies.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have at least 2 years of experience in Automotive Title processing, as well as a strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to vehicle titling. You'll also need to have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and outstanding communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities (Primary):

• Accurately complete the title paperwork for the dealership and then for the customers on retail, wholesale, and purchases
• Call on payoffs that titles have not been received.
• Prepare wholesale title papers for auctions as needed.
• Inspect and assign all incoming titles from auctions and wholesalers
• Resolve title problems and get assistance from the Office Manager if problems not resolved in five days.
• Insert notes under comments in the DMS as needed for title concerns or key concerns. Be sure these comments are clearly stated for everyone to be able to read.

Responsibilities (Secondary):

• Assist in special projects when necessary.
• Serve as backup on outstanding vehicle receivables, as necessary.
• Serve as a backup receptionist when needed.
• Assist the Office Manager/CFO with requests on an as-needed basis.
• Keep a spare set of customer keys filed and hand out to customers.
• Help streamline and automate processes for titles where able.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Dealership preferred title experience. Computer and business experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid Colorado driver's license.
• Job-Related Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of dealership operations and Colorado Title processing.
• Knowledge of all 50 States Title processes.
• Computer skills
• Accurate data processing skills.
• Business office machines including 10-key, typing, computer, copier, fax machines, and printers.
• Good phone etiquette skills.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE:

• Process title papers daily. Must be done within two weeks of the contract date.
• The first point of contact on all title problems.
