Your Responsibilities & Essential Job Duties:
- Hire, manage, and supervise the performance of the service department including advisors, technicians, BDC, cashiers, etc.
- Maintain a high Customer Service Index rating, reduce customer complaints, and increase customer retention
- Conduct service meetings and establish department goals and objectives to minimize unapplied time
- Manage shop production and schedule to meet pace and budget
- Create work schedule and maintain proper accounting of Service Technicians’ productivity
- Ensure that technicians keep their skills current through manufacturer training, ASE training and CDK
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment for all guests and employees and understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service and parts operations and OSHA compliance
- Ensure that proper service sales techniques are being used
- Review and understand manufacturer warranty and policy procedures
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Previous Service Manager experience is preferred
- Knowledge of warranty procedures, work scheduling, etc. is a plus
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and negotiation skills
- Goal-oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient knowledge of dealership computer systems
- Previous industry knowledge and overall knowledge of operations, management, and customer relationships
- Must have a valid driver’s license
