Empire Automotive Group GMC Buick White Plains:Service Manager
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Service Manager to oversee a growing service department at our GMC Buick dealership in the Westchester NYC Metro area. We’re looking for the right manager to lead a team efficiently, creating a stronger environment with a focused objective. Our next leader will guide a team of service advisors and technicians to the next level of customer care and support. Management firmly believes that an exceptionally managed dealership service department is the key to retaining customers and generating repeat sales.
Your daily responsibilities:
- Effectively direct and coordinate an import union shop and non-union support to meet manufacturer and municipal standards and compliance, ensuring that all work is performed to proper specifications.
- Emphasizes the importance of customer satisfaction, maintaining levels that are acceptable to upper management and to the manufacturer.
- Uses available advertising and marketing processes to attract a steady flow of work.
- Implements a clear objective for advisors and technicians to communicate effectively with customers.
- Makes certain that work is properly dispatched to technicians to reach the highest levels of productivity for customer vehicles as well as for internal vehicle prep.
- Devises and implements training schedules for technicians, advisors, and support personnel.
- Supervise and lead a team with constructive feedback to improve performance and foster morale, maintaining a positive attitude and dealer integrity.
- Train staff to greet every customer that enters our facility with a smile with the highest level of attention.
- Responsible for monthly business results and presents upcoming goals to upper management.
- Manage advisors to sell/upsell our services consistently and effectively without jeopardizing honesty and integrity.
- Use all types of communication on a professional manner, to address and resolve customer concerns quickly and thoroughly.
- To act in a professional manner that reflects the organization's goals, building a long-term relationship between the customer and the store.
Qualities we’re looking for:
- At least three years of experience managing a union shop in a franchised automotive dealership.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- The ability to create and maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
- Must be able to ensure that all required documents and approval requests are submitted to the manufacturer in a timely and compliant manner.
- You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Reliable and presentable in business attire.
- You understand the importance of listening and being empathetic.
- You have strong work-ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- You have experience providing outstanding customer service by showcasing expertise, fostering trust, and growing customer satisfaction.
- You have friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive "team-player" attitude.
- Flexible with work scheduling and availability to work weekends and holidays.
- You have strong computer skills which includes, Reynolds & Reynolds, Ignite and Microsoft Office.
- You will operate a clean, organized, presentable workplace with a strong attention to details.
- Clean driving record and willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check.
