Castilone Chrysler Dodge Jeep, Dealership located in Genesee County, NY is looking for a highly motivated experienced Service Manager with a proven background and the ability to organize and grow our service department. Chrysler experience preferred but not necessary, however, automotive dealership specifically service department experience is required.

Responsibilities
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
- Setting a clear vision and goals for the Service Department to achieve targeted performance.
- Driving a highly efficient sales and production operation to get Customers in an out quickly
- Engaging and motivating the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations and best practice processes
- Attracting, developing and retaining the very best talent for the store.
- Creating an exceptional customer experience to drive customer loyalty.
- Ensuring the Service area is retail-ready with proper displays, point-of-purchase information and visible competitive pricing for maintenance products.
- Managing the business in accordance with manufacturer requirements and processes.
- Analyzing the business to determine shortfalls and developing action plans to improve performance.
- Driving the business through a high-level of involvement in the day-to-day operations.
- Oversee customer interactions, Service Advisors, Technicians, Parts Manager and other store Associates.
- Hire and recruit personnel
- Oversee all service staff and make sure employees are following standard operating procedures.
- Train new service employees and help them understand company policies and procedures.
- Create a schedule for all service staff to cover hours of operation.
- Manage company vehicle and building maintenance to ensure safety of employees.
- Monitor/review employees' work levels/performance and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Provide excellent customer service by going above and beyond customers' expectations.
- Immediately handle any escalated issues in a thorough and timely manner.
- Help answer phones and assist service customers with individual needs.
- Oversee appointment scheduling to make sure work is not overbooked.
- Assign work to technicians in a timely manner.
- Open/close work orders with detailed information and keep up-to-date.
- Follow-up with technicians and Parts Department to ensure warranty parts are tagged and returned, parts are received and distributed to correct jobs, and that correct parts are ordered for jobs.
- Make sure employees are getting pre-approval from Warranty companies before starting work.
- Follow-up with customer to let them know status of unit, ensure they are updated every 2-3 days that the unit is in service by service writers.
- Check work on units to verify a quality and satisfactory job well done; inspect what you expect.
- Keep and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Up-sell services and accessories to customers.
- Responsible for profitability in all cost centers associated with service, parts, shop, body shop, and warranty.
Requirements

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Service and/or Parts Management experience
- Ability to set and achieve targeted goals
- Proven ability to attract, develop and retain great talent
- Strong financial and business acumen and the ability to drive revenue and profitability
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
- Organization and follow-up skills
- Experience and desire to work with technology
- Valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
- Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram certification preferred
