Automotive Packaging/Kitting Warehouse - Operations Manager

• Develop, train, motivate and appreciate employees.
• Own and monitor quality and quantity of work performed -- and encourage staff to use quality tools and processes to resolve problems.
• Work with other departments to improve processes and information exchange.
• Propose improvements to management.
• Create a culture of learning and continuous improvement, including active participation in company-provided training and coaching your team members.
• Maintain any statistical data required to monitor processes.
• Document processes and events as needed.
• Ensure that there is appropriate coverage to complete the work.
• Ensure that staff has the necessary tools to perform their job functions.
• Effectively manage direct and indirect expenses.
• Perform other duties as needed.
   

• Bachelor's Degree in business or supply chain OR 5-10 years working in third-party logistics
• At least 5 years of management experience
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Experience and advocacy for 6S
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening
• Strong conflict resolution and coordination skills
• Desire to effectively lead and develop team members
• Ability to proficiently operate a computer, specifically Microsoft Office suite and SAP
