Automotive Business Development Specialist
This Specialist will grow our Approved Auto Repair Network (AAR) of Dealership Facilities. The network consists of dealerships with a high standard of customer service to whom we refer our members for certified auto repair.
This position is 60% on the road and 40% work from home. The territory covers Austin, San Antonio, and most of South Texas. A reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and a clean driving record are required.
Job Duties
- Identifying, strategizing, and calling on leads to initiate the sales cycle.
- Planning, executing, selling, and closing leads to complete the sales cycle; contracting new dealerships in accordance with company standards to grow our existing network of automotive repair facilities.
- Networking to develop, grow, and maintain industry relationships that will open the door to future leads.
- Communicating and working in conjunction with the Approved Auto Repair (AAR) team to maintain and retain the existing Approved Auto Repair (AAR) network.
- Examining Club approved facilities for compliance with Club Standards and Criteria, contractual obligations, and expectations.
- Processing the necessary documents related to inspection of said dealership facilities for compliance purposes.
- Leading General Managers, Service Managers, and technical staff of Approved Auto Repair (AAR) dealership facilities on implementation of policies and procedures that ensure high quality, as well as accurate and complete diagnosis and repair of Members' vehicles in compliance with American Automobile Association (AAA) Automotive Quality Standards.
Qualifications
- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written
- 4-Year college degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Experience
- Business to business sales background and account ownership experience with responsibility over initiating and completing the sales cycle
- Sales experience in the automotive services industry or related field with the ability to develop and maintain long lasting business relationships
- 3 years of comprehensive, hands-on experience in the automobile repair industry

- Possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
